Mary Bess Welch

Mary Bess Welch, 86, of Ocean Springs passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband, J. B. Welch; her brother, Patrick Vincent Jones and son, Dudley W. Pate, III. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Pate Coleman of Ocean Springs; her younger sister, Lilly Belle Jones Cagle of FL; grandsons: Jeffery Paul and Alec Brendan Williams both of Ocean Springs; granddaughters, Eva Marie Williams Norris of PA and Alexis Ann Pate-McIntire of Ventura, CA; great-granddaughter, Destiny Cheyenne Sullivan; great-grandson's, Darien Pate McIntire and Christian Lee Williams; grand-daughter-in-law, Ramona Gail Williams; Step-great-grandchildren, Cameron Boswell and Brittany Boswell; goddaughters, Liz J. Walker and JayLynn McAdams and godson, Shane Walker. She was a member of the Ocean Springs Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary, Kiwanis Club, Order of the Alhambra, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and a past member of Southern Pines Garden Club of Ocean Springs. She was an avid gardener and an amazing cook. Everyone that met her loved her, as she was a marvelous person. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
