Mary "Darlene" Powell Monk

Mary “Darlene” Powell Monk, age 71, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022.

Darlene was born on March 1, 1950 in Biloxi, MS where she remained a lifelong resident. She retired from Cable One as a Customer Service Representative and was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Powell Sr. and Gloria Powell; and by her brothers, Collins “Rev. Red” Powell and Patrick Thornton.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Tami Monk; and one granddaughter, Sydni Wills.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
