Mary K. East

The East Family announces the passing of Mary K. East, age 88, of Gulfport, Mississippi, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. A devoted mother and friend, she was known for her long walks and camping with her family under the stars at Clarkco State Park.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George H. East, Jr.

A mother of three sons, she is survived by, Glen V. East (Beth), Allen T. East (Wendy), and Stephen H. East (Sandy) and their families, including nine grandchildren, Sarah East Williams (Wes), Christian East (Sarah), Geoffrey East (Mary), Faith East, Ben East (Taylor), Lily Vredingburgh, Will East, Alex East, and Anna Vredingburgh; and seven great-grandchildren, Asher East, Mary Lettie Williams, John Williams, Charlie East, Kate Williams, Lucy East, and Timothy East.

The East Family would like to thank the staff of the Seashore Highlands Retirement Community for their care and comfort. Their genuine concern, kindness, and love have been much appreciated.

The East Family will hold a private ceremony honoring the life of Mary K. East
