Mary Edna Holmes

Mary Edna Holmes, age 94, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Ocean Springs, MS. She was born May 19, 1923 in Alabama to Mack S. and Martha Catherine Inabinette. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, as well as cooking. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Holmes; her parents; her son, Charles Earl Holmes; her brothers, Mack Inabinette, Charles Inabinette, Luther Inabinette, Kenneth Inabinette; and her sister, Myrtle Slade. Survivors include her children, Marianne Holmes (Joe) Barlow and Lisa Holmes (Wayne) Rogers; her brothers, Nathan Inabinette, Robert Inabinette, and Justin Inabinette; her sister, Margie DeSilvey; her grandchildren, Charlie Holmes, Michael Holmes, William "Billy" Barlow, Jordan Rogers, Lindsay Rogers Adams, Jarred Rogers, Terry Barlow Ladnier, Joe Barlow, Jr., Cliff Barlow, and Mike Barlow; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers, Val Dunning, Hazel Rosetti, Erica Dunning, and Kathy Burnett. Services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior.
