Mary Frances Rawlings Milsted, 84, of Gulfport passed away Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born in Meridian, MS December 20, 1930. She married David Franklin Milsted on August 29, 1947 and they remained devoted to each other until his death in May 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Milsted, her parents, Clinton and Bessie Rawlings; two sisters, Elizabeth Rawlings and Edith O’Quinn; and one brother, the Reverend James Clinton Rawlings.
Mary Frances is survived by her daughters, Gay (Mike) Baird of Huntsville, AL and Edith Ann Milsted of Meridian; one beloved granddaughter, Gina Madison of Huntsville, AL; niece Joyce (Peter) Weiss of Longview, TX; and nephews Jimmy Carl (Jill) O’Quinn of Longview, TX, James Thomas Rawlings of Meridian, and David Clinton (Rowena) Rawlings of Houston, TX.
Mary Frances was a loving wife and mother who never hesitated to share her love and kindness to all she met. She was a dedicated faithful member of St. Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild for over 50 years
The family would like to thank physicians Dr. Pamela Tuli and Dr. Manojkumar Shah and their staffs as well as the nurses and aides of Gulfport Memorial Hospital for the loving care they provided. Most especially the family would like to thank Father Patrick Sanders and the members of her St. Peter’s family for their love and support.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
