Mary Ann “Ann” Lee Felsher Moniot of Biloxi, MS earned her wings at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday morning October 28, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born to Edwin Harley Felsher Sr. and India Adair Bennett Felsher on March 13, 1934. Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Leon Moniot of Biloxi; and her brother, Colonel Edwin Harley Felsher Jr. of Hattiesburg, MS.
Ann is survived by her son, Charles Edwin Moniot of Biloxi; her daughter, Leigh Anne (Chuck) Yarborough of Columbus, MS; and her 3 beautiful grandchildren, India, Laurel, and Sam; and nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, and close family friends.
Ann was a devoted Catholic, faithful wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, a caring protective sister, treasured aunt, niece, daughter, and friend. She was a 1952 graduate of Biloxi High School, where she was elected Homecoming Queen and Miss BHS by her classmates. She went on to earn her Nursing degree from Charity Hospital in New Orleans and spent her life taking care of her fellow Mississippians. As an RN she worked for over four decades from Oxford to Natchez, to Biloxi and back, she worked at the VA, the Biloxi Surgical Clinic, and retired from the American Red Cross, just to name a few. Ann was married to her late husband one month shy of 62 years before his passing. They lovingly raised their family, and followed Ole Miss Rebel Athletics around the Southeast. They were avid members of the Gulf Coast Carnival Association and members of Treasure Oak Country Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
