Mary Waldrop Stokes

Mary Waldrop Stokes, 50, of D’Iberville, MS passed peacefully on October 20, 2022 while surrounded by those she loved most. 

Mary was born on July 20, 1972 in Biloxi, MS to Curtis Benjamin Waldrop Sr. and Sherry Lee Waldrop. She graduated from D’Iberville High School in 1991 and went on to work in the customer service industry. Throughout the years, she has worked for the Waffle House Corporation, Subway, and Clarke’s where she worked until present.

She is preceded in death by her father Curtis Benjamin Waldrop Sr. and mother Sherry Lee Waldrop, as well as her father-in-law Milwood Stokes and mother-in-law Barbara Stokes.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Roy Stokes, her sons Nathan, Taylor, and Zach, her daughter Emma, and her loving family and friends. She could light up the room with her contagious laughter and spunky attitude. Always the life of the party, Mary has found her eternal afterparty in Heaven, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

Mary will always be known for her vibrant personality and fiery spirit, and we know she is watching over us with a smile. This is not goodbye because we know we will see her again someday. But until then, we will celebrate her beautiful life and keep her forever in our hearts.

Mary’s family would like to thank the staff of Merit Health Hospital, Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, and the many friends and loved ones for their outpouring of kindness and generosity during this difficult time. 

On Monday, October 24, 2022, we will celebrate the life of Mary Waldrop Stokes at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, MS. Visitation for the public will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow.
