Matilda “Mama T.T.” Head, age 68 of Kiln passed away in Gulfport.
On January 31, 1946, I was given the gift of life, on January 25, 2015, I gave it back.
She was the daughter of the late Vert and Bernettie Ladner and was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo and U.J. Ladner; and sister, Melba Smith.
She was the loving wife and lifelong friend of 50 years to Charles Pat Head Jr. Together they shared a love that has been an inspiration to many.
She also leaves behind a brother, Jesse (Eileen) Ladner; two sisters, Yvonne Beech and Lorena Cuevas; and in-laws, Gayle (Elsie) Head, James (Liz) Head, and Geraldine (Junior) Necaise. She was a loving mama to her daughters, Angie Waltman, and Shaynon Shaw; her sons, Rodney Head and Cory (Jennifer) Head. She has 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was a faithful member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She loved her church family and she enjoyed singing and worshiping. Mama T.T was a blessing to everyone she met.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Wolf Creek Baptist Church starting at 2:00 pm until. The funeral service is Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
