Matthew Francis Hashman

Matthew "Matt" Francis Hashman, 43, of Gulfport, MS and Panama City, FL passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at around 12:00 midnight at Singing River Hospital, Gulfport.

He was born on October 15, 1980 to Maria E. Etheridge and Kevin F. Hashman.  He graduated from Biloxi High School, received his GED and attended MS Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC).  Matt graduated from the National Elevator Industry Educational Program International Union of Elevator Constructors as a Certified Master Mechanic and Certified Welder.  He was an organ donor, talented musician, singer, music writer/composer.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carmela “Millie” Ovale Karacand; his maternal grandfather, James “Jim” J. Karacand, Sr.; his paternal grandfather Francis "Frank" Eugene Hashman; his brother, Samuel Justin Hashman; his aunt, Jeanne Karacand Harbison and his father-in-law, Edward Lawrence Schuette.

Matt is survived by his mother, Maria E. (Karacand) Etheridge; his father, Kevin F. Hashman; his stepmother, Clare Rockenhaus; his daughters, Maleena Hashman and Arianna Hashman; his brother, John "Jack" (Joette) D. Hashman; his sister, Camille Jean Hashman; paternal grandmother, Catherine "Kate" Hashman and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 12:00 ~ 2:30 pm, at the VFW Post 6731, 4321 West Gay Rd., D'Iberville, MS.
