Matthew William Wells

Mr. Matthew William Wells, age 59, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017. Mr. Wells was a native of New Haven, CT, spent most of his youth in Clinton, CT and was a resident of the coast since 2006. He was formerly employed as a Table Games Manager for the Hard Rock Casino, a member of the Ocean Springs Yacht Club and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a member of the Coastal Conservation Association and an avid fisherman and boater. Survivors include his wife, Joni Russell Wells, parents, Ruth and Clifford Wells, stepson, Justin Tanner, stepdaughter, Shannon Tanner, sister, Eden Wells, four brothers, Sam (Lori) Wells, Morgan (Cindy) Wells, Corey (Iliana) Wells and Micah Wells and four grandchildren, Mattison, Olivia, Asher and Brent. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 15, from 11am until 2pm, with a 2pm Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to any Humane Society.
