Maurice Lawrence Colly

Maurice Lawrence Colly, 83, passed away on March 6, 2012 in Bay St Louis MS, as a victim of a homicide. He was born December 6, 1928 in Atlanta, GA. He was a graduate of Tech High School in Atlanta, the University of Mississippi at Oxford, MS, and the Atlanta Law School in Atlanta. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He resided in Bay St. Louis, MS for the past 14 years and was a faithful member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. He is survived by his nephew and his wife, Wally Colly and Carol Colly of Norcross, GA and their children Steven Colly and Pamela Colly Peterson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 15 at 11:00 AM at Main Street United Methodist Church, 162 Main St, Bay St Louis, MS 39520. Visitation with family and friends will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day at Main Street United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be on Monday March 19 at 11:00 AM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
