Melinda A. Barnes

Melinda A. Barnes, 48, of Wiggins died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Hattiesburg. Mrs. Barnes was a resident of Stone County for 16 years. Melinda was a devoted friend and mother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Wayne Barnes; a sister, Melissa Creel; and a grandson, Wayne Mahan. She is survived by her daughter, Angel Barnes; step-sons, Albert Barnes, Shayne Barnes, and Gary Barnes; sisters, Marcia Anderson and Rhonda Anderson; a brother, Richard Anderson; and nine grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit an hour prior to the service.
