Melinda Rae Alexander Howarth

Melinda Rae Alexander Howarth, age 45, of Vancleave, MS passed peacefully from this earth on Friday, May 20, 2016 at her home. She graduated with honors from Long Beach High School, worked with special needs children and finished at the top of her class in Massage therapy. She was preceded in death by her father, Dicky R. Alexander; grandmother, Ruth Harrison Simmons; grandfather, Lloyd Harrison; and father-in-law, Rick Howarth. She is survived by her devoted husband, Justin A. Howarth and their son, Brody J. Howarth. She is also survived by her mother, Alice Alexander; brother, Edd (Virginia) Young; sister, Kristina Cuthbert; nieces, Rachal (J.R.) Rigby, Amanda Young and Julia Schultz; mother-in-law, Carla Howarth; as well as her dearest friend, Reka Wickersham. Her wonderful spirit will be celebrated at a memorial service held at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society for research. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
