Merrill (Taz) Joseph Perkins

Merrill (Taz) Joseph Perkins, age 72, passed away Thursday June 4, 2026, at his home in Biloxi.

He was born on December 26, 1953, in New London, CT, to James George Perkins and Irene May Flagg. He learned pipefitting in the Air force and Navy; he would later use that knowledge in his career at Genera Dynamics. After retirement, he enjoyed watching Marvel shows and Crime Shows. He loved Tasmanian Devils, hence his nickname.

Taz was preceded in death by his late wife, Angelina Estrella Perkins; parents, James George Perkins and Irene May Flagg; and siter, Cheryl Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Darlene Perkins; siblings, Teri John, Sandra Decteaux, Shelly Shyner, and James Perkins; and his much-loved bird “Flyboy”.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice and Biloxi VA for all the care and support.

The family requests that people plant a tree in his honor.
