Michael Lee Flora, age 79, of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Gulfport.
Mike was a native of Homestead, Florida, and a proud graduate of South Dade High School. He was a successful real estate broker for more than 40 years, respected for his integrity, independence, and work ethic.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, including combat service, and was a Purple Heart recipient. Though proud of his service, he was humble and never sought recognition.
Mike was a loving son and father. He deeply loved his mother, Grace, and cared for her until she passed at the age of 96. He lived a clean life, guided by strong values, and was respected by everyone who knew him.
Known for his stories and charm, Mike always had a story to tell and a smile to go with it. He loved fast cars, usually driving the nicest convertible or sports car around. In his later years, he made his home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he enjoyed cruising the coast and spending time at the slot machines.
Mike was independent, well liked, and known to many as “Cool Mike Flora.” One of his greatest passions was attending his high school reunions, especially the annual Madison reunion, which he looked forward to every year.
In accordance with his wishes, his cremated remains will be placed at Biloxi National Cemetery, honoring his military service. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, is honored to serve the family of Michael Lee Flora.
