Michael Robert Hanley

Michael Robert Hanley, age 54, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 10, 2019. He was born on September 16, 1964, in Logan, Utah to James Robert Hanley and Dianne Campanelli. As a young man, Michael became a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. During his enlistment, he was honored with receiving the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. After his service in the military, Michael attended college at North Carolina State University, where he obtained a degree in Electrical Power Engineering and Mathematics. He used this opportunity to establish his own company as a Commercial Contractor in Southern California. Life brought Michael to Ocean Springs when he met the love of his life, Anna Kral Hanley. He relocated to the beautiful Gulf Coast and enjoyed many boat rides with his family, fishing with his buddies, and long walks with his two dogs, Sam and Honey. His own personal paradise was at Zion National Park in Utah, where he hiked many miles and climbed any rock formation he could find. In his later years, Michael found a passion for international travel, and his favorite place was his wife's home country, Slovakia. He will be missed all over the world. Mr. Hanley is preceded in death by his father, James Robert Hanley. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Anna Kral Hanley; mother, Dianne Campanelli; children, Nicole Kral and Adam Kral; brothers, Scott and Troy; sisters, Christine, Valerie, and Jamie; and eight nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 10am until 11am, followed by an 11am Remembrance of Life ceremony, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A procession will then begin to his final resting place at the Biloxi National Cemetery, where a ceremonial military funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, https://parkinson.org/ways-to-give , in honor of Michael.
