Michael "Mick" Miller, of Gulfport, MS died Monday, December 19, 2011 in Gulfport. Mr. Miller was born in Cameron, MO and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1986. A lifelong musician, he toured with The New Christy Minstrels as a vocalist. He owned Wortham Sportsplex Ampitheater in Saucier, MS promoting concerts. Mr. Miller formerly was in public relations at the Grand Casino in Gulfport and was also assistant manager at Flat Branch Campground in Gulfport. The last twelve years he was warehouse purchasing manager at Gulf Coast Prestress in Pass Christian. Mick never met a stranger and was a friend to all and always made everyone laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wayne Miller and two brothers-in-law, Gary and Brad Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Johnson Miller of Gulfport; two daughters, Tiffany Hill of Gulfport and Amber Gagnon and her husband, Henry, of Leaksville, MS; a son, Michael J. Miller of Jackson, TN; his mother, Zackie Miller and his sister, Cynthia Weber, and her son, Ryan Weber all of Gulfport; seven grandchildren, Caden and Kinsey Hill, Mya, Josey, Zeb, and Tyner Gagnon, and Violet Miller; brothers-in-law, Terry, Barry, and Greg Johnson; sisters-in-law, Debra Foster, Dixie Winstead, and Dexa Stottlemyre; and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Bradford - O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road Chapel in Gulfport. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.
