Michael Wayne Ponder

Michael Wayne Ponder, 72, of Ocean Springs, MS spent his final day, October 19, 2021, doing what he loves most- riding his motorcycle in the sunshine with his wife.

He was a long-time resident of Ocean Springs and loved meeting friends- old and new- downtown for cold ones. Mike enjoyed sitting outside with friends, swapping stories, sipping cold ones, and was a fan of motorcycles, live music, hot rods, racing, The Big Lebowski, and Cruisin the Coast. Mike was born in Kilgore, TX on March 8, 1949 and served in the Air Force for 21 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Vada Ponder; sister, Linda Dunohoe; and loving dog, Isabelle.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nancy Roselli Ponder; children, Brandon Ponder, Megan (Rob) Ponder, and Michelle (Kris) Saucier; and grandchildren, Carson and Rhett Saucier.

The family thanks their wonderful community of friends for the outpouring of love and support and extends special thanks to Chris Collier, The Office, and Lauren Taranto, Eat Drink Love Catering. We look forward to seeing y’all and to raising a cold one for Mike together.

A visitation will be held from 11 am-12 pm with a service at 12pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave in Ocean Springs. A motorcycle funeral procession and a burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. A celebration of life will start at 2 pm at The Office Bar in Ocean Springs, 1000 Government St.
