Michael Brian Smith

Michael Brian Smith, 58, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 surrounded by his family. Michael was born January 3, 1954 in Gulfport, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Smith and mother, Barbara Decelle. Michael is survived by his brother, Jeff Smith and sister, Gina Strickland. He had a great love for horses, animals and the great outdoors and his lifelong dream was to live in the mountains. There will be no services and his interment will be at a later date by the scattering of his ashes somewhere in the mountains where he so longed to be. The family wishes to express great gratitude to those who lovingly cared for Michael during his battle with ALS: Dr. Mishra and Staff, Memorial Hospital Staff, the ALS Association, Members of the local ALS Support Group, Odyssey Hospice and Staff.
