Michael "Darryl" Stolica, age 83, of Gulfport, MS passed away gently in the early morning on Thursday, May 21, 2026, surrounded by love.
Darryl was born July 22, 1942 and was raised in "Hell's Kitchen" in New York City. At the age of 17, he proudly volunteered to join the Air Force. After he was honorably discharged he remained on the coast and made it his home.
He was an electrician by trade with the IBEW Local 903. He decided to follow his dream and opened his own electrical contracting business, Gulf View Electric, until he retired.
He and his wife, Kathy, loved to travel and were blessed to have visited all 50 states, all 10 Canadian Provinces and 2 Territories. They loved to cruise and took a lifelong dream cruise to Europe. They met and have kept in touch with so many friends along the way.
Darryl is preceded in death by his loving parents, Ethel and Matthew Stolica; his older brother, Gary Remenarach; his beloved daughter, Lynn Stolica Lott; and his precious granddaughter, Rhonda Lott.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of 46 years; his daughter, Chrystal Meyers; his grandchildren, Lauren Meyers, Kirsten Meyers, Mikey Meyers, Jason Lott, Jeremy Lott, and Kristi Lott Nguyen; and his great grandchildren, Evan Lott, Cohen Lott and Pearl Lott Nguyen.
A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at St James Catholic Church. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11 am.
