Mike “Pop” Urbani, 62 of Vancleave, MS died Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Moss Point, MS.
Mike was born on July 20, 1962 to his parents, Patricia Gamblin McElhenney and Larry Urbani in San Francisco, CA. He attended and graduated from Vancleave High School and did go to MS Gulf Coast MS in Gautier. Mike was baptized and found and was a servant of God, found his calling to minister to others in need through the Soldier of the Cross Motorcycle Ministry. It was where he shined and grew the most in his faith with his brothers and sister in this ministry. He worked over 20 years at Hughes Supply in D’Iberville, he loved his co-workers and his customers. Mike’s hobbies were his family, biking and woodworking.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia McElhenney and a brother, Ron Urbani.
He survives by his wife, Marlene Urbani of Vancleave; his dad, Larry Urbani of LA; sons, Michael of Gautier and Carlos Urbani of Jackson MS; a sister, Sashi Havens of Gautier; a stepdaughter, Dana Niles of Gulfport, many nieces and a granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Mercy House in the memory of Mike Urbani or The Soldiers of the Cross Ministry of MS.
The family would like to thank Larry and Pam Redmon for their constant faith, love and help throughout this difficult time along with his brothers and sisters of many bike groups here on the coast and the Moss Point Police Department for their help.
A memorial service will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, and held at Cedar Lake Christian Assembly of God Church on Cedar Lake Road in Biloxi. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with service starting at noon.
