Mrs. Mildred Lorine Lowe Duncan, age 95, of Biloxi and Ocean Springs passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Gautier, MS. Mrs. Duncan was born January 27, 1920 in Laurel, MS. She was the daughter of Abasie (Base) Lowe and Maggie Lorena Lofton. She was united in marriage to Edwin Earl Duncan of Green Castle, Indiana in 1941 in Laurel, MS. Mrs. Duncan and her husband were co-owners of Duncan’s Restaurant on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, MS after moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast after WWII. With her sister Ruby, and brother-in-law Ross Horton they served many patrons for over twenty years in downtown Biloxi. She is preceded in death by her husband; and her son, Charles David Duncan; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Surviving children include Edwin E. (Mary) Duncan, Jr., Nita Lorraine (George) Smith, Barbara Duncan, Theresa (Scott) Martino and Connie (Lynn) Freeman; thirteen grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home located at 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530 at 2pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Friends may visit from 1-2pm. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, Gulfport, MS.
