Mr. Milton "Bootsie" Tiblier, age 82, a native resident of the Biloxi/D'Iberville area, passed away on December 28, 2012, with Rose Mary, his loving wife of 62 years, and family by his side.
Bootsie was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As a young man he served his country as a S/Sgt in the military during the Korean Conflict. He was a machine gun specialist. After having a family of his own, he helped establish the D'Iberville Little League and spent many years as a coach. He was a homebuilder and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and playing with his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Delia Tiblier and a sister, Betty Tiblier Mallett.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rose Mary, daughter, Patricia (Michael) Skrmetti, sons, Michael (Karen), Wayne (Becki) and Mark (Deborah) Tiblier, grandchildren, Brant (Heather) Tiblier, Breanne (Randy) Prince, Jason (Jennifer) Skrmetti, Mark (Amanda) Tiblier, Tiffany (McKenzie) Lott, Randy, Ryan, Nicholas and Travis Tiblier, Autumn Ishmael, Kristin (Mike) Burkett, Lauren (Myles) McClellon, eleven great-grandchildren, Brennan and Brylee Prince, Kayden Tiblier, Tanner and Harrison Tiblier, Heidi Skrmetti, Kiera and Piper McClellon and Will, Hannah, and Mikey Burnett, brothers, Emile, Billy and Jack Tiblier, sisters, Delores Lee and Doris McClellan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 31, 2012, from 12 Noon until 2 pm, with a 2 pm Mass of Christian Burial, all at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy, 715 Division Street, Biloxi, MS 39530.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
