Mitzi Triggs Ulmer

June 19, 1956 — May 10, 2026

Vancleave

Mitzi Triggs Ulmer of Vancleave, MS was born on June 19, 1956. She was the eldest daughter of Jack Dempsey Triggs and Anne Rohr Woodward. She died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 69.

After graduating from George County High School in Lucedale, she followed in her father’s footsteps into banking, even working alongside him for a number of years. She devoted over 20 years to the industry and retired from Hancock Bank, where she served as a teller and branch supervisor.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her parents, her nephew, Rod Shows; and niece, Lauren Shows. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dale Ulmer; her son, Curtis Williams and wife Kristina; and grandson, Gracen Scott Williams. She is also survived by her daughters, Amanda Ulmer and Kimberly Ulmer; her granddaughter, Haley Dixon (Trey); grandsons, Justin Richie and Easton Tucker; and great-grandchildren, Adyson, Maysn, and Knox Dixon, and Harper Richie.

She is further survived by her sister, Pam Shows and husband, Rodney; her brother, Jonathan Triggs and wife, Malia; nieces, Amanda Shows, Abigayle Triggs (Tricia), and Anabelle Triggs; and great-nieces, Kyleigh Smith, and Rachel and Hannah Shows. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Donna Ulmer and husband, Henry Duplantier.

She was also blessed with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Known lovingly as MeMe, she welcomed every child with open arms—whether for a visit, a snack, or time spent playing in the yard or swinging from the tree swings. Her love for her family showed in the way she cared for everyone around her.

Mitzi was known for her beautiful yard, where her flowers were always in bloom. She loved growing vegetables and spent much of her time outdoors tending to her plants and watching everything grow. Her favorite place was out on the water, on the boat with Dale, and she always looked forward to trips to Florida to visit Curt and spend time on the beach.

Her home was full of life. There was always room for friends and family—whether it was sitting out on the back porch sharing stories, or gathered around her dinner table, she loved to bring people together. She truly loved her life, her family and friends and finding happiness in the moments spent together.
