Moza George Hebert, Sr., 81, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, was born in Biloxi on June 24, 1944, and passed away on October 5, 2025, in Gulfport.
He was born to Moza Hebert and Dorothy Moran Hebert and attended D’Iberville schools before joining the United States Marine Corps in 1961. After his military service, he worked in several fields before starting his own sandblasting, painting, and construction company, which operated across the Eastern United States and the Caribbean. He later worked as a Heavy Repair Planner at Keesler Air Force Base, retiring from Civil Service in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gracie Jean Waldrop Hebert; his parents; brothers Mickey and Jimmy; sisters Melody, Cynthia, and Judy; a stillborn daughter, Tina Marie; his son, Moza “Bubba” Hebert, Jr.; and by his daughter, Tammy Jeanette Hebert Billiot.
He is survived by his children: Lisa Waldrop, Huron “Ronnie” Orr, Jeremy Hebert, Tammy Ruth (Troy) Smith, Kimberly (Bobby) DeLuca, and Lloyd (Stephanie) Hebert; grandchildren: Courtney Orr, Christopher (Tonya) Williams, Jenna Orr, Sarah (Tyrone Williams) Champagne, Brandon (Kristine Schuchart) Schmierer, Christian Hebert, Jordan Waldrop, Marissa Hebert, Mya Waldrop, Aydden Champagne, Nicelle Hebert, Chance Waldrop, and Dylan Waldrop; and great-grandchildren: Korbyn, Kamron, and Carter Williams, Kaiden and Emerlyn Simmons, and Weston Smith. He is also survived by his best pal, Bingo, and grand-dogs Max, Sebastian, and Sandy.
Final resting place will be at Biloxi National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
