Mr. Andrew Paul “Andy” Blahut, age 86 of D’Iberville, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Andy was born April 12, 1937 in Pittsburgh (South Side), PA, and was formerly of Eighty-Four, PA. He was a graduate of Connelley Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA. He was a Supervisor at Superior Valve Company (Amcast) for over 35 years in Washington, PA. He was also co-owner with his wife of Discount Linens & The Giftrim Shop in Washington PA. A U. S. Army Veteran, he served twice with the second time being during the Berlin Crisis. 

Andy was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a season ticket holder for over 25 years. He was also an avid baseball and softball player starting with neighborhood pick-up games in his youth to managing leagues and playing on 2 or 3 teams at a time throughout his life. He could still throw a ball into home plate well into his 80’s. He always enjoyed a day out at the casinos or watching an episode of NCIS. He was particularly proud of his Slovak Heritage.  

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Ann (Milanak) Blahut; and by his parents, Andrew Blahut and Catherine (Ofsunka) Blahut. 

Survivors include 2 wonderful daughters: Beth Ann (Robert “Bobby”) DeVore of Carriere, MS and Angela (Steve Neville) Blahut-Neville of D’Iberville, MS; 4 step grandchildren: Austin, James & Logan DeVore and Chasity Boatman; brother, Eugene “Gene” (Chris) Blahut; sister-in-law, Bonnie Milanak; brother-in-law Kenny (Theresa) Milanak; 6 nephews; 2 nieces; cousins; and numerous friends.

A private family service will be held. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Andrew Paul “Andy” Blahut.
