Murl Miles

Mr. Murl Miles, 88, of Daphne, Al, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in Fairhope, AL. He was born in Cleburne, Texas and was a resident of Gulfport for 30 years before moving to Brewton, AL and was a Alabama resident for 22 years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army Air Corp and retired in 1983 from the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brewton. Mr. Miles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Claudia Miles of Daphne; a son, Stephen D. "Steve" Miles and his wife, Patsy Daniel Miles of Daphne, a sister, Rozelle Miles Gatewood of Cleburne, TX; two grandchildren, Stephen D. "Steve" Miles. Jr. and his wife, Jennifer Jordan Miles of Theodore, AL and Danya Miles Roush and her husband, Patrick Ryan Roush of Pensacola, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace Miles and Victoria Diane Miles. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
