Myra Amelia Fletcher, 69, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Ocean Springs.
Myra was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs and Vancleave. She worked as a seamstress at E.R. Moore Company in Ocean Springs for 30 Years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Myra recently celebrated her 49 year anniversary with her husband Rodger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Dorothy Seymour; son, Rodger Dale “Little Rodger” Fletcher, Jr.; sisters, Marilyn “Topper” Seymour Harkleroad and Theresa Seymour; and brother, Paul Seymour.
Myra is survived by her husband, Rodger Dale “Cotton” Fletcher, Vancleave, MS; daughters, Anna Sylvester (Bill) Dunnam, Pascagoula, MS, and Cecilia “Cissy” (Ernie) Fountain Westbrook Smith, Marvell, AR; two grandchildren, Brian Westbrook, Lucedale, MS, and Rodger D. “Little Rodger” Fletcher, III, Lucedale, MS; special friends, Randy Wiggins, Mary and Tom Hendericks and Jimbo and Donna Rouse; niece, Charlene Gibbon, and nephew, Stan Harkleroad; and many, many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
