Myrna "Fay" Allen

Myrna “Fay” Allen, age 84, of Vancleave passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in Ocean Springs. Myrna was born on February 25, 1934 in Vancleave, MS to Coy and Celeste Allen. She graduated from Vancleave High School in 1952, attended Millsaps College, and graduated from Mississippi Southern College (now USM). Myrna also graduated physical therapy school. Myrna was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She practiced physical therapy for Little Sisters of the Poor in Mobile, Al, several Mobile area hospitals, Biloxi Regional Hospital, Ocean Springs Hospital, and in private practice. She enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; friend, Chris Pastor; sisters, Infant Malva Lou Allen, Lynne Tillman, and Coy Ann Mallett; and nephew, Bonham Tillman. Survivors include her niece, Myrna Lynne (Paul) Baricev; nephews, Bret Tillman, Bart Tillman, and Rufus (Janie) Mallett; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Vancleave #1 Cemetery, Jim Ramsay Rd, Vancleave, MS. The family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
