Nancy Verzwyvelt

Nancy Claire Baillio Verzwyvelt, 90, of Gulfport, MS passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026. She was born in Alexandria, LA on February 10, 1936 to Ralph and Katherine Baillio.

Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She worked in a school office for a few years, prior to becoming a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel J. Verzwyvelt; grandson, Michael D. Verzwyvelt; and son- in – law, James Holmes.

Survivors include her children, Ladonna Holmes and Daniel L. Verzwyvelt; daughter-in-law, Diana Verzwyvelt; three grandchildren, Tiffany Dubaz, Marlan (Alex) Shepard, and Dr. Joseph (Sarah) Verzwyvelt. She is also survived by her siblings, Pauline Brown, Robert Baillio, Jane Norwood, Katy Grantadam, Ralph Baillio, and Ronald Baillio; and sister-in-law, Pearl Hirchak.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 9, 2026 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will be at Alexandria Memorial Gardens in Alexandria, LA.
