Nelson Joseph Seymour

Nelson Joseph Seymour, 92, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Ocean Springs. Nelson was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He loved being outdoors and “tinkering” with anything mechanical. Nelson never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who dearly loved his family. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Robenia Mary Noble Seymour; his mother, Rose Seymour Kneale; his half-sister, Gwydelyne Kneale; his daughters, Mavis Marcussen and Nell Moore; and his son-in-law, Charles Zeigler. Nelson’s survivors include his wife of 72 years, Eunice Seymour; his sons, Kerry (Lenda) Seymour, Hank Seymour, Billy Seymour, E.J. (Robin) Seymour and Jeff (Nora) Seymour; his daughters, Jean Zeigler and Lisa (Eddie) Yarborough; his son-in-law, David Moore; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Private Services will be held. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
