Nora Goodwin Johnson

Nora Virginia Godwin Johnson, age 87, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in Ocean Springs. She was a lifelong resident of Vancleave, MS. She was preceded in death by husband, James L. Johnson, parents, Clarence and Esther Mae Godwin, three brothers, Leslie Godwin, Lamar Godwin and Lendle Godwin and grandsons, Heath Wade Newell and Destin Hendon. Survivors include three children, Leslie Wayne (Donna Cochran) Johnson, Ronnie Leon (Shirley) Johnson and Nora Elizabeth (Danny) Spence, two sisters, Mary Ellen Ellison and Julie Ann (John) Day, ten grandchildren, Kim (Shannon) Hall, Jessica (Bernie Ruiz) Ridgeway, Raina (Eddie) Ortiz, Dana Newell, Shiree (Timothy) Dunn, Virginia (Bryan) Hancock, Danny (Danielle) Spence Jr, Dennis (Krystal) Spence, James Komma and Stacey Hodges, eleven great-grandchildren, Ava Hancock, Cheyenne Komma, Wyatt Spence, Branson Spence, Justin Hall, Chloe Wilner, Jaeden Ridgeway, Taylor Ortiz, Chase Harris, Macee Dunn and Maddox Dunn. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Mary Dardar and Cathy Blakeney and the Ocean Springs SICU. A Memorial Service will be held at Wade Baptist Church on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 5:00 pm. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
