Orsalena "Lena" Giolito Collier

Orsalena “Lena” Giolito Collier, age 88, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, in Gulfport.

Lena was born on January 4, 1934, in Massachusetts, to Peter Secondo Giolito and Onorina Giolito. After completing her education, she went on to pursue her passion of becoming an Interior Designer. Along with interior decorating, Lena enjoyed knitting and gardening. She was President of Officers’ Wives Club and a member of the Veteran’s Auxillary.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, USCG Cmdr. William F. Collier; parents, Peter and Onorina Giolito; daughter, Brenda Collier Seehusan; and sisters, Enes Mula, Dolly Clonts, and Adele Tellier.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Collins and Leann Pollio; grandchildren, James Johnson, Duane Hitashita, Charlie Lemon, and Joshua Lemon; great-grandchildren, Ty Rackley, Zeta Luke, Donavie Lemon, Evalina Collins, and Lizzy Lemon; and her pets, Missy, Patches, and Baby.

In lieu of flowers, Lena's wish was to send donations to St. Jude Children's Cancer Center Research.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit an hour prior. The interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
