Patricia Ann Howe Dixon

November 29, 1939 — May 2, 2025

Biloxi

Hi family and friends. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this post today. Our mom, Patricia Ann Howe Dixon, passed away peacefully in her sleep last night surrounded by family. She was battling stage 7c dementia and the lord finally called her home.

Pat was born on November 29,1939 in Fitzgerald, GA and passed away this morning, May 2,2025 at the age of 85.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sylvia Howe of Albany, GA; brother, Charles David; sister, Sandra and her husband of 52 years J.B.

Survivors include her four daughters, Judy, Joyce (Paul), Brenda (Tim), and Beverly (Barry); five grandchildren, Michael(Shirley), Matthew, Kaeley (Jim), Courtney (Colton) and Tim 2; five great-grandchildren, Molly, Clayton, Cohen, Graham and Caden; numerous nieces and nephews; her friends for many years, Diane and Archie; and the fantastic team from Hospice.

If anyone has to deal with a loved one that has dementia, it is a very sad disease. You actually lose them twice, once with the terrible disease and again when they are called home.

We have decided to have a small service (family only). Then she will be placed at the National Cemetery with our dad. There will be a celebration of life in mom's honor at a later date. We will let everyone know, so y'all can come celebrate mom's life with us. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dixon family.

A special thanks to all of our family and friends. May God be with each and every one.

Fly high mama, we are going to miss you. But knowing you are at peace will give us comfort. Thanks everyone.
