Paul Henry Blades, age 80, of Saucier, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Biloxi, MS, after a short stay at the Biloxi VA.
Paul was born November 23, 1945, in Magnolia, MS, to Ephriam and Ruby Blades. After graduating from Woodland High School in Amite, LA, he attended trade school for drafting. Directly after trade school, Paul was drafted into the U.S. Army to fight in the war of Vietnam. He served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968 where he was awarded a Purple Heart along with other prestigious medals. After returning state side, he spent a year at Fort Benning in Georgia. Paul moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the mid-seventies where he found a successful career at UPS. He worked at UPS for a total of 28 years, where he earned the title of The Million Mile Club twice while driving his feeder twin trailer truck from the coast to Jackson and back nightly. After retirement, Paul enjoyed his years riding motorcycles and listening to his favorite music in his shop while spending time with friends and family. He loved to sit and watch his grandchildren play on the land that he took so much pride in. We will always remember Paul for his positive “Jus 1 Mo” outlook on life.

Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Ruby “Katie” and Adam Lywiski; three grandchildren, Makayla, Brennen, and Wyatt Lywiski of Saucier, MS; and many others that he considered brothers and sisters.
