Paul Andrew Drummond

October 19, 1964 — May 28, 2026

Biloxi

Paul Andrew Drummond, age 61, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Biloxi.

Paul was born on October 19, 1964, in Ipswich, England, to Paul Louis Drummond and Loretta Anne Linney Drummond. Though born overseas, the Mississippi Gulf Coast became the place that shaped his life, his passions, and the countless memories he created with family and friends.

Paul graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1982, where he proudly played football and developed a lifelong love for the water. Growing up along the Gulf Coast, he spent countless hours sailing, windsurfing, and became so involved in the boating community that he was appointed Junior Commodore of the Ocean Springs Yacht Club. During his younger years, he also helped operate his family’s beach rental business in Biloxi, learning early the values of hard work, family, and community.

Paul’s love for history, preservation, and culture led him into a career that reflected those passions. Before joining FEMA, he served as curator of the Walter Anderson Museum, where he enjoyed working among the remarkable artwork, artifacts, and history of the Anderson family artists.

Paul devoted nearly two decades of service to FEMA, where he served as an Environmental Specialist, Deputy Environmental Liaison Officer, and Historic Preservation Specialist. His work allowed him to combine his passion for history, preservation, and helping communities recover and rebuild.

Yet beyond titles and accomplishments, Paul was happiest near the water.

His love for the water began in childhood and remained with him throughout his life. He treasured fishing trips with his wife in the Back Bay of Biloxi, exploring coastal waters together by kayak, and spending endless days fishing with his brothers, friends, and those he loved most.

Paul also loved cooking and grilling for family and friends, gathering around the fire pit with his wife and beloved dogs, and creating the simple moments that became lifelong memories.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Anne Price, and his brother, Richard Alan Drummond.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Paul Louis Drummond and Loretta Anne Linney Drummond; his loving wife, Diane Young Drummond; his sister, Sandra Kay Drummond; his brother, Gary Stephen Drummond; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his beloved dogs, Grady Blue Drummond and Rile Roux Drummond.

Paul will be remembered for his love of family, his devotion to the Gulf Coast waters he called home, his adventurous spirit, his generous heart, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

Fair winds and following seas, Paul. You are deeply loved and forever missed.

My love story with Paul began in high school, when I was just another young girl who noticed the handsome boy everyone admired. Life took us on separate paths for many years, but 17 years ago God graciously brought us back together. For 13 years, I had the blessing of being married to my soulmate, my best friend, and the absolute love of my life. Losing him leaves an ache words cannot fully describe, but my love for him will remain forever woven into my heart and soul. Until we meet again, my love.
