Paul Daniel Langham

November 2, 1975 — September 4, 2024

Biloxi

Paul Daniel Langham, 48, of Biloxi, MS passed away on September 4, 2024, after a courageous and difficult 4 ½ year battle with stage IV colon cancer.

Paul was born on November 2, 1975, to Donald and Patricia Langham, at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland. After graduating from Oak Grove High in Hattiesburg, MS, Paul went on to study sports administration at Southern Miss where he graduated with honors. Following graduation, Paul attended Georgia Southern to pursue his Masters in Sports Administration and returned to Southern Miss to complete the degree. He later earned his Specialist in Educational Leadership from William Carey University. In 2004, Paul met the love of his life, Leslie, and they were married on June 21, 2008. Together, they raised Paul’s son, Jordan, and they have two boys of their own, Joseph and Matthew.

Paul was one of a kind. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Paul’s family meant more to him than anything else in this world, and he sacrificed much to provide the best he could for his wife and sons. He was immensely proud of Jordan’s time in the Marine Corps and his career in law enforcement; of Joseph’s academic abilities and athleticism on the football and soccer fields; and of Matthew’s academic successes, sports enthusiasm, and craftsmanship abilities. When his sons think on their dad, they will remember him as strong, wise, loving, and funny.

Paul was known by many as “Coach.” He was passionate about his work with kids. His career started as an athletic trainer, and it ended as a classroom teacher and soccer coach. His students and athletes at Oak Grove Middle School, Our Lady Academy of Bay St. Louis, MS, and d’Iberville High School along with countless soccer teams for various organizations had a great admiration for Coach Langham. Many of his educator friends and colleagues described Paul as a “light in the dark room.” He brought humor and quick wit everywhere he went.

Paul Daniel Langham was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Virginia Fuller, and his paternal grandparents, Samuel Joseph and Hazel Langham. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rachel Rebecca Langham. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Langham, and their sons, Joseph Paul and Matthew Daniel, of Biloxi, MS; his son, William Jordan, of Oxford, MS; his parents, Donald and Patricia Langham of Moselle, MS; his brother Mark Langham (Hannah) of Gulfport, MS; his sister, Sarah Langham of Moselle, MS; his brother Benjamin Langham (Leanne) of Shirley, MA; and many nieces, nephews, and family members. Paul is also survived by countless friends and students.
