Peggy Nell Stiver

Peggy Nell Stiver, 85, of Biloxi, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living on Monday, May 19th, 2025. Peggy was born March 2nd, 1940 in Poplarville to Edna K. Upton and Frances Creel.

She graduated from Florence High School in 1958. She attended Cosmetology school in Jackson, Mississippi. After that, she lived a brief time in Lake Charles, Louisiana and moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1961 where she worked at Hammond’s Beauty Salon for numerous years. Later, she moved to Sacramento, California and married her true love, David Lee Stiver in Carson City, Nevada on June 21st, 1982. They made a home in Sacramento and enjoyed life there many years boating, hiking, and camping in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Later, life brought them back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she was an active member in TOPS, enjoyed trips with family, and hosting for holiday events. Other interests include traveling across the country, attending auctions, buying and selling antiques. This hobby would soon result in the creation of two local wholesale businesses that lasted for 25 years. After retirement, she enjoyed being a devoted wife, loving mother, and nurturing grandmother who will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse of 34 years, David Lee Stiver; brothers, Billy Grantham, Floyd Creel; and grandson, Ryan Smith.

Survivors include her children, Katherine “Kathy” (Chad) Louviere, Diana “Didi” (Duane) Carpenter, and Patricia “Patty” Smith; grandchildren, Caid (Madison) Louviere, Kyleigh (Cameron) Crager, David (Sara) Perdue, Meaghann (Roy) Smith, Caitlin (Jonathan) Jordan; Nine great-grandchildren and expecting one more in July.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all friends for their love, support, laughter, and good times during her life. The family would also like to thank Brookdale Senior Living and Saad’s Hospice for their exceptional care.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road in Biloxi on Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until service time.
