Percy Henry Kaigler II of Gulfport, passed away on September 3, 2016.
Percy was born on August 15, 1939 in Clarksdale, MS. He was a graduate of Clarksdale High School and The University of Mississippi. As a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS, he began his career with Hancock Bank and worked for Gulf National Bank and A.G. Edwards & Sons. He was very involved in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where he served as a senior warden. He was also a past commodore of the Gulfport Yacht Club as well as past president of the Rotary Club of Gulfport, Great Southern Club and Gulf Coast Ole Miss Alumni Association. He was a member of the University of Mississippi Athletic Association, Gulf Coast Carnival Association, Century Club and the Pass Christian Investment Club.
Percy was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge Ole Miss Rebel fan and an avid golfer.
Percy was preceded in his death by his parents, Cecil and Patricia Kaigler.
He is survived by his wife, Delia Kaigler; his sister, Olivia Matheny; his brother, James Kaigler; his sons, Hal (Natalie) and Streett (Brittny) Kaigler; and his grandchildren, Lucy, Avery, Lyndon and Hudson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Gulfport at 2:00 pm where friends may visit beginning at noon. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
