Phil was born on February 9, 1941, in Greenville, AL to Mack and Leaota Ward.
Survivors include his wife, June Ward.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. A reception will follow the service.
