Phyllis Durtka, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi died of natural causes Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Ocean Springs Hospital.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, January, 25, 1926, to Felix and Kathryn Woloszkiewicz, Phyllis was a devout Catholic, loving wife, mother, grandmother and kindred spirit to everyone she met. She loved reading her Bible and murder mystery books, writing cards to her loved ones, solving word search puzzles and spending time with the family dogs, Kilo and Teddy.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander, and is survived by her daughter Darlene Foerman and her husband Paul of Ocean Springs, her son Alexander Durtka Jr. and his wife Sharon of Cudahy, Wisconsin; her grandson Andrew Burns and his fiancée Jaelyn Lambert of Kennesaw, Georgia.
Viewing will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Bradford-Okeefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., November 14, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Elizabeth Seton St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Salvation Army.
