Phyllis Marie Soldo, 76, of Biloxi passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was born April 12, 1950 to Louis Michael Soldo and Anna Eve Soldo.
Phyllis graduated from Biloxi High School. She worked for the Federal Government for the majority of her adult life. She started working as a cashier at the Airmens Club on Keesler Air Force Base. Then she moved on to the Veteran's Administration (VA) where she worked at the Medical Center. She continued her federal career at the Civilian Personnel Office back at Keesler Air Force Base where she held a position as a clerk and then moved up to a personnel assistant. Phyllis became very well known on Keesler for her birthday celebrations for any one who was having a birthday to include the Commanders. Phyllis finished her career by moving to the Human Resource Service Department of Navy at Stennis Space Center where she will be lovingly remembered by all that worked with her. Along with her federal career she also worked part time at the Biloxi Beach Resort Inn as a receptionist greeting all the tourists that came to Biloxi and took special care in decorating the Inn for each holiday. Phyllis was very talented and so creative in several arts & crafts; such as glass paintings, holiday pins, jewelry, and ornaments. She would share these homemade items with everyone she knew.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Michael Soldo and Anna Eve Soldo; and siblings, Louis Michael Soldo Jr and Christopher Paul Soldo.
Survivors include her siblings, Anna (Mike) Philhower of Rock Island, IL; sister-in-law, Candy Soldo (Widow of Christopher); nephews, Stephen Soldo and Pete Philhower; niece, Amanda Long; 2nd cousins Amanda, Emma Long, Alyssa Long, Audrey Long; and cousins, Sandra Munch, Raymond Spontelli, Mike Bush, and Steven Bush.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Howard Avenue chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit from 5 pm to 5:30 pm.
