Pola M. Cannette, age 78, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Pola was a graduate of Meridian High School. She worked for the Biloxi VA and Keesler Air Force Base, retiring with 31 years of service. Pola loved music, dancing and everything Elvis Presley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Elvin Cannette; her father, Gordon T. Middleton; her mother, Willie M. Middleton; her brothers, Billie R. Middleton and Jack Middleton; and her sisters, Carol M. Cheatham, Gail M. Ficke, Barbara Lesso and Beverly Beleau.

Pola is survived by her son, Paul G. (Christy) Cannette; her grandchildren, Sydney Cannette, Kaitlyn (Johnny) Etherton and Logan Snow; her great-grandchild, Cullen Etherton; her sisters, Jill Beck, Janie Crampton, Linda Long and Judy (Joel) Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate in Pola’s memory.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
