Ralph S. Boutwell

Ralph S. Boutwell, age 88, of Gulfport died Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Gulfport. Mr. Boutwell was born in Jones County, MS and was a member of the West Union Baptist Church in Carriere. He was retired from the Stop and Shop Bakery in Boston and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Boutwell was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Marie Scadding Boutwell. He is survived by three sons, John E. Boutwell (Jean) of Abington, MA, Ralph S. “Stoney” Boutwell (Kathleen) of Boston, MA and James A Boutwell (Ann) of Gulfport, MS; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy.
