Randall L. Mohr, 57, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Ocean Springs Hospital. The cause of death was diabetes and Lung cancer. Randy was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to John H. and Sharon R. Mohr. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1972. He was active in football, swimming, wrestling and detention. After graduation he was hired by the Union Pacific Railroad of North Platte, Nebraska where he worked as a conductor for 34 years. He was also President of J.O.T. and Union griever for U.T.U. Randy loved football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers, fishing, hunting, boating and water skiing. His number one love was his Harley Davidson motorcycle and all of his Asgard brothers.
Randy married Cynthia A. Benson. They have one son, John L. Mohr and his wife, Michele.
He is preceded in death by his father, John H. Mohr and his mother, Sharon R. Mohr of Vancleave, MS; father-in-law, James N. Benson of Grand Island Nebraska; grandparents, Jesse E. and Lois Evison, Peter and Vada Mohr.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made in Randy's name to the American Cancer Society and Research for the cure of Diabetes.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m.
