Randy Wright

Randall “Randy” Charles Wright, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Randy was born on January 5, 1955 in Biloxi where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in 1973 where he lettered in baseball and basketball. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the City of Biloxi. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and watching Alabama Football. He was a loving and devoted son, brother and friend. Randy, as he was called, never met a stranger. He admired and was inspired by Coach Fred “Doodle” Weems who taught him sports and respect for others. Mrs. Claudia Gazzo was also a huge inspiration and a valuable influence in Randy’s young life. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Epherim Wright; siblings, Timothy Wright and Freda Simon; nephew, Brian Wright; and niece, Brooke Moore. Survivors include his mother, Mary Wright; siblings, Phyllis Whorton, Brenda Moore, Janet Dubaz and Jeffrey, Danny and Patrick Wright; his favorite sister-in-law, Mary Wright; and pet, Lucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 10am until 11:45am. A graveside service will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
