Raymond L. "Ray" Blackburn, Sr.

Mr. Raymond L. "Ray" Blackburn, Sr., age 63, of Biloxi, MS, died on Saturday, September 3, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Blackburn was a native of Keyser, W.Va., and a coast resident for the past 22 years. He retired from Mead-Westvac as district sales manager after 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having been a part of the Cuban Missile Blockade. Mr. Blackburn was survived by his wife, Cathy Blackburn of Biloxi; two stepdaughters, Stephanie and Danielle Rosier of Maryland; two sons, Lee Blackburn of Ocean Springs, Jeff Blackburn of Louisville, Ky., and their mother, Judy Blackburn of Ocean Springs; and four grandchildren, Ariel, Zach, Dana and Adam. On Monday, September 12, 2005, a 9:30 AM chapel service was held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
