Rhonda Huffman Pepper

With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a beautifully lived life, we announce the passing of Rhonda Huffman Pepper, age 56, of Ocean Springs, MS. She died peacefully July 21, 2026.

Rhonda was born on January 13, 1970 in Jackson, MS. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1988 and Mississippi State University in 1991 where she met the love of her life, Mike. They lived together in Brandon, MS where their son, Tate, was born in 1998. They then moved to Ocean Springs in 2006 where daughter, Lucy, was born in 2007. Rhonda was loved by so many and always brought a smile to everyone around her. She was known for her quick wit, bringing laughter and light to every room she entered.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Huffman.

She is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Huffman; her husband, Mike; her children, Tate (Britney), and Lucy; her grandson, Wells; and her sister, Carla (Josh) Carter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul OS Children’s ministry, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choosing. If you choose to send flowers, Rhonda was adamant there were no carnations.

The family would also like to express deep gratitude to her amazing medical team at both MD Anderson and Singing River Health System. We want to especially thank Dr. Tricia Aultman and her palliative care team (Jenny and Laney) for their outstanding care, love and guidance over the past year.

We are at peace and know that God has healed her!

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at St. Paul Ocean Springs- East Campus. Friends may visit from 10:30am until service time. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
