Richard Francis Peneguy

SMSgt Richard Francis Peneguy (USAF Retired), 77 of Gulfport, died Monday, April 25, 2016 in Gulfport. Mr. Peneguy was born in New Orleans and had been a resident of the coast since 1969. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Long Beach and was a cofounder of the Men’s Breakfast Group at the church. He retired from the United States Air Force as a SMSgt after 25 years of service and also retired from the Fire Department at Stennis Space Center after 25 years of service. His hobby was carpentry and he also enjoyed being involved in his church. Mr. Peneguy is survived by his wife, Ann Peneguy; three daughters, Katherine Peneguy, Lisa Peneguy and Debra Peneguy; five sons, Jeffrey, Richard, Eugene, Sean and Anthony; a sister, Madeline Lincoln; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be at noon on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, Long Beach, where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 am. The graveside service with military honors by the US Air Force will be at 2:30 pm at the Biloxi National Cemetery. The family prefers memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, 19221 Pineville Road, Long Beach, MS 39560. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
