Robert Charles Georges, Sr.

Robert Charles Georges, Sr., age 59, of Kenner, LA., died Friday, February 11, 2005, in New Orleans. Bob was a native of Biloxi and grew up on Crawford Street. He attended elementary school and earned his GED in Biloxi. He served in the Army and received an honorable discharge. He later became an honor student while working toward his associate degree in Construction Technology from USM in Hattiesburg. Bob was married in 1969 and resided with his wife and three children in D'Iberville. He was a longtime Union Carpenter of Biloxi and New York City. He was a shrimper during the summer months. Bob was a very proud grandpa, was a devoted Catholic and loved spending time with his family and church. He will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Georges, and grandparents, Paul O'Neal and Leah Eve Gaudet, and Mary Ellen Hawkins. He is survived by two daughters, Stefanie (Lawrence) Beaugez of Woolmarket and Renee Georges Bellais and fiance, Mike, of D'Iberville, one son, Robert C.(Laura) Georges, Jr. of Vancleave. He is also survived by his former wife, Donna Georges Brennan of D'Iberville, two sisters, Vicky Tucker of Ocean Springs and Oberia Eve Breslin of Catskills, New York, one brother, Raymond (Brunilda) Hawkins of Kenner, LA., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Raymond and Oberia Eve Hawkins of Ocean Springs, and fifteen grandchildren, Patrick, Blake, Brennan, Taylor, Alexus, Garrett, Cameron, Matthew, Quinton, Caitlin, Laini, Talyn, Robert III, Travis and Aleah. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, from 6-9 PM, 7:30 PM Rosary, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Wednesday, February 16, 2005, a 9:50 AM procession will leave the funeral home for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
